Definition of a Compression Sock
A compression sock, stocking or hosiery is constructed of an elastic material designed to provide additional support to the leg. Compression garments are provided in varying levels of compression or tightness to address different needs of leg support. The level of compression is expressed in mmHg (millimeters of mercury pressure).

Key features of a Travel Compression Sock

  Level of Compression
Gradient Compression (decreasing pressure from ankle to knee)
  Non-occlusive band at the knee
  Proper fit or sizing

Using leg measurements when sizing is critical to obtaining the benefit of a compression sock!
